- Always read all the posts of the role play you are interested in. Only knowing part of the story will make it harder for you to jump in and harder for others to relate to your character.
- If you're confused or lost, ask questions. E-mail staff members, or if you're really in a pinch use the OOC code at the bottom of your posts to ask a an out of character question in game.
- What does OOC mean? It stands for out of character. If you need to ask a question in game that is for your understanding and not something you can ask as your character ask like this: (OOC: then type your question and close it with parenthesis) This keeps everyone from being confused. When another player replies with an answer, they will use the same code. We ask that you only do this as necessary and encourage everyone to keep their posting in character as much as possible.
- Pay attention to the type of character everyone else is playing, and then create yours. If a group already has one or two gunslingers, another is overkill. If you still want a gunslinger, try to make them very different from the existing ones. Character creation can be challenging. If you are having trouble check out our really extensive character sheet. Fill in all the blanks and you have the skeleton for a pretty dynamic character.
